For a first larger order or a regularly used stove. Check the bag volume against the room in your store.
If you are ordering a larger load of firewood for the first time, start with the space you have rather than the biggest pack available. The wood needs somewhere dry to go, and you need a workable route from the unloading point to the store.
We deliver kiln dried logs to Durham in bulk bags, crates and smaller packs. Choose from ash, birch, oak and mixed hardwoods, alongside logs prepared for pizza ovens.
Read the product specification for the log length, cut and quantity, then check the delivery options available for your postcode at checkout.

A larger supply for frequent burning. Allow room to unload the crate and keep every log dry afterwards.
For an occasional fire or a smaller top-up. Check the quantity and delivery method for the pack you choose.
Hardwood prepared for wood-fired cooking. Select the size that fits your oven and allows you to feed the fire.
A bulk bag can be a practical step up from smaller packs when the stove is getting regular use. A crate suits a larger order, provided you can keep the whole supply sheltered after unloading. Compare the stated volumes before deciding.
Allow working space as well as storage space. You may need to transfer the wood from the delivery pallet into a store, so keep paths and doorways clear and plan how you will handle the load.
Ash gives a steady burn, birch catches readily and oak burns more slowly once the fire is established. Check your stove manual for the maximum log length and loading instructions.
Keep kiln dried logs protected from rain and damp ground, with ventilation around the stack. Our Ready to Burn information explains more about dry firewood.
Bulk bags and crates arrive on a pallet by tail lift lorry. The driver will not drive onto your property. Moving the pallet beyond the kerb needs a flat, hard surface; the pallet truck cannot cross gravel or grass.
Check the delivery requirements if your entrance is narrow, the road is steep or unloading space is limited. Where access is unsuitable, the pallet will be left kerbside. Call 01653 668177 before ordering if you need advice.
