Ready to Burn certified logs must consistently test below 20% moisture content, allowing them to burn more cleanly and efficiently than wet or poorly seasoned wood.
At Dalby Firewood, we dry our kiln dried hardwood logs even further, with moisture content typically below 15%. Lower moisture logs are easier to light, produce more heat and create less smoke and residue inside stoves and flues.
All of our kiln dried firewood is Woodsure Ready to Burn certified and suitable for log burners, open fires, pizza ovens and smoking.
The Ready to Burn scheme is backed by DEFRA, HETAS and the Stove Industry Alliance, helping customers buy firewood with confidence.
