If you are unsure what to order, start with the size of your firebox and how often you light the fire. Log length, thickness and the amount of wood in a load matter as much as the species. Our Ready to Burn certification gives you assurance that the firewood has been properly dried before dispatch.

Ash is a good all-round choice if you want a steady flame. Birch catches quickly and gets the fire up to temperature, while oak takes longer to get going and burns more slowly once established.
Check the cut as well as the length. A thick log and a thin log can both be 25cm long, but they will behave differently on the fire. The product options show the cuts available. For cooking, our pizza oven logs are cut extra thin so you can add smaller amounts of wood and manage the heat.

Before placing a larger order, read the delivery access requirements and check there is room for the vehicle to unload. Orders are delivery only; collections are not available.

The pallet truck cannot travel over gravel or grass. It needs a flat, hard surface; where suitable access is not available, the pallet will be left kerbside. If you are unsure whether your access is suitable, contact us before ordering.
Pallet delivery moves the bag or crate as a complete load; it is not a log-stacking service. Where access allows, the pallet can be wheeled to a suitable position. You will need to arrange any transfer of individual logs into your store.
For pallet orders, someone should be available unless you have left delivery instructions when ordering. Make sure there is a safe, accessible place for the load. Aborted deliveries are chargeable. Parcel deliveries do not need a signature.
Yes, if the bag is kept inside in a dry place. Outside, the logs need protection from rain. Keep them away from damp ground and allow air to circulate so they do not take moisture back on.
Check the maximum log length in your stove manual and measure the usable firebox space. Leave room to place the logs safely rather than choosing a length that only just fits. Check the product length before ordering; some of our seasoned hardwood options are 40cm.
