A larger supply for regular fires. Check the bag volume and plan how you will move the wood into your store.
A bulk firewood order needs somewhere to go as well as a stove to burn it in. Before choosing a load, work out how much dry storage you have and how you will move the wood from the delivery point.

Hardwood cut for wood-fired cooking. Check the dimensions against your oven before selecting a pack.
For a stove used through the week, a bulk bag or crate gives you a larger supply in one order. Smaller bags may be more practical for occasional fires, a small store or carrying logs to a less accessible part of the property.
Allow time and room to transfer a pallet order into storage. Keep the route clear and have your store ready before the delivery arrives. The pallet service moves the load as a whole; it does not include stacking individual logs.
Birch catches readily, ash is a steady everyday choice and oak burns more slowly once the fire is established. Browse the ash, birch and oak ranges to compare the available sizes and cuts.
Use your appliance manual to check the maximum log length. For a wood-fired oven, look at the dedicated pizza oven range rather than assuming your usual stove logs will suit it.
Crates and bulk bags are delivered on a pallet by tail lift lorry. The driver will not drive onto your property. A pallet can be wheeled over a suitable flat, hard surface, but not over grass or gravel.
Where access does not allow the pallet to reach your chosen position, it will be left kerbside. Check the delivery requirements for the vehicle size, overhead clearance and unloading space before placing your order.
Keep the logs dry after unloading, clear of damp ground and with air able to circulate. Read our Ready to Burn information, or call 01653 668177 for help choosing your order.
Someone should be available unless you have left delivery instructions when ordering. Make sure there is a safe, accessible unloading position; aborted deliveries are chargeable.
The pallet is 1.2 metres wide by 1.05 metres deep and can be up to 1.2 metres tall. Allow extra space to manoeuvre the pallet truck, particularly at gates and corners.
The delivery vehicle must not be parked on a steep incline to unload. Contact us before ordering if the road outside or the proposed unloading point slopes steeply.
