Kiln dried hardwood logs for Harrogate

If you are stocking up for the colder months, choose your firewood around how often you light the stove and how much dry storage you have. A large order only works if you can keep the logs dry once they arrive.

We deliver kiln dried logs to Harrogate, with ash, birch, oak and mixed hardwoods available in different pack sizes. Order a bulk bag or crate for regular use, or smaller bags if you only light the fire occasionally.

Check the log length as well as the quantity. Your stove manual will give the maximum length it can take; leave room to load the fire safely rather than choosing logs that only just fit.

Getting your log store ready

Kiln dried wood needs to stay dry after delivery. Give it shelter from rain, keep it clear of damp ground and leave room for air to circulate. An open-sided store with a sound roof is useful; a tightly wrapped pile can trap moisture.

Plan the space before the lorry arrives. Allow room to move the logs from the unloading point into storage, and keep entrances and paths clear. If you are ordering a crate, check its dimensions and the stated volume on the product page.

What to check for delivery in Harrogate

Bulk bags and crates are delivered on a pallet by tail lift lorry. The driver will not drive onto your property. A pallet truck needs a flat, hard surface; it cannot travel over gravel or grass, and unsuitable access means the load will be left kerbside.

If your driveway is sloping, the entrance is narrow or the road leaves little room to unload, check with us before placing an order. The delivery page gives the vehicle dimensions and access requirements.

Choosing wood for your fire

Birch lights readily, ash gives a steady burn and oak is slower burning once the fire is established. Choose a species that suits the way you use your stove, and follow the appliance instructions when lighting and refuelling.

Read the Ready to Burn information alongside the details of your chosen logs. For help with pack sizes or delivery access, call 01653 668177 before ordering.

Questions about log deliveries to Harrogate

Can I choose the day my logs arrive?

For pallet orders, the available delivery dates and time slots are shown at checkout. Choose from those offered for your order rather than assuming a particular day is available.

Does a smaller parcel delivery need a signature?

No. Parcel deliveries are handled by a third-party courier and do not need to be signed for. Check which delivery method applies to the product you are ordering.

How much space should I leave for the pallet itself?

Allow for a pallet 1.2 metres wide by 1.05 metres deep, with a load that can be up to 1.2 metres tall. You also need enough room for the pallet truck to turn and manoeuvre; those dimensions alone do not guarantee access.

Can the lorry unload if the road outside is steep?

The delivery vehicle must not be parked on a steep incline to unload. If the road or unloading position outside your property slopes steeply, contact us before ordering so the access can be discussed.

Will you let me know when my order has been dispatched?

Yes. A dispatch confirmation is sent by email. For an all-day pallet delivery slot, a more precise arrival estimate is not available, so allow for delivery at any point within the booked hours.
